Happy New Year!
Dear Followers, how lovely it is that someone is taking notice of two eccentric women dressing up, rather than doing something more worthwhile. A special mention to the gals of Royal Holloway, (college rather than prison) who are among our admirers. Jane is off to St Lucia, while her poorer friend Beryl is only going to Cornwall.

A New Year possible outfit, this beautiful 1950's ball gown has a built in structure that is very flattering. It is also the most astonishing colour, a true joy to wear. Jane paid £25 for this at a local vintage fair, one of her best vintage buys ever. The shoes were £25 from Jones the Bootmaker.

Jane is planning to don her nod to Mamma Mia dress for New Year - although Jane does know who the father of her children is - this Anthropologie number bought in the summer sale for £115. She is doing a fine cost-per-wear in this as it has been worn many times already this year. Its slightly high waist makes it easy and comfy and it fits Jane very well around the bosom. She wears it with a bright blue bra which just becomes part of the act if it shows, and navy pumps from Next £16. Let's hope it's as hot as the weather folk are promising.

Until 2016, good bye and Happy New Year!
